Occasionally, Apu likes to sneak up to his secret Kwik-E-Mart roof garden for spiritual replenishment – and to spy on his competitors at the nearby Gulp ‘N’ Blow. However, after a great deal of discussion, The Brothers Brick is delighted to announce Koen Zwanenburg‘s Tutankhamun Mask as our LEGO Creation of the Year 2020.

King Tut™ was a simple Egyptologist until an accident left him convinced that he was the genuine ruler of ancient Egypt. Other sets soon followed, and before long, Indiana Jones would be forever remembered to go hand in hand with the Adventurer sets. This collection includes a Galaxy Trooper, Alien Trooper, Evil Wizard, Classic King, Goblin, Snake Charmer, Samurai, Disco Diva, Fencer, Unicorn Girl, Lady Cyclops, Paleontologist, Carpenter, Hot Dog Man, Sheriff and an Egyptian Warrior. With this set I hope to add to this legacy, whilst also providing LEGO fans with a historical setting from which they can learn a thing or two! LEGO Adventurers had everything you could ever wish for in a set, especially the original Egyptian one.

Ancient Egypt is a very interesting and mysterious setting, from which we definitely need a set that has good playability and is awesome to display. The rules of this game were lost to time and only educated guesses about how it was played have been made over the years since its discovery. Despite a lifelong fascination with archaeology and ancient history — and even a trip through Sinai, Cairo, and Karnak at age 19 — I must admit that Egyptology has never been particularly interesting to me, obsessed as its public portrayal is with glittering treasures and kingship. These buildings originally were vastly painted and ornamented, creating a lush and powerful atmosphere around them. Either way, Batman™ is ready for prehistoric action thanks to his totally old-school caveman costume! While not as many sets this time as the Egypt theme, it still proved popular enough to keep the sets coming. This set is based on an Egyptian oasis with 2 ancient Egypt houses, in ancient Egypt moet of the houses looked like this, which allt of people didnt know, because not everyone lived in a big temple, most people lived in poverty.

The jungle tomb, too, that could have been done so much better if they had just given it more thought. Simply put, it pays homage to the early Adventurers themes, and although it is mainly marketed as a spooky fairground attraction, you can clearly spot the references to Adventurers. Nevertheless, I’m reading the excellent The Rise and Fall of Ancient Egypt by Toby Wilkinson right now, in which I find the chaotic Intermediate periods especially fascinating.LEGO, the LEGO logo, the Minifigure and the brick and knob configurations are trademarks and/or copyrights of the LEGO Group of companies which does not sponsor, authorize or endorse this site.
