Also, although it's not listed in the long list of official notes, what I mostly get from the fruity aspect of the scent is melon - which in my opinion is just okay as a fruit, and not great in perfumes either. Interesting how perfumes from the 80's and 90's were made with like 20 different notes and filled up an entire room for days. Very light, the staying power is very poor (it takes less than 2 hours to completely vanishes from the skin). But the florals are not the usual, instead it has a different range of florals (best way I can explain it), so smells different compared to most florals.

i love the bright lemon and the fresh, cooling mint in this and combined with the white florals it is so so pleasant. I'm late to the Acqua Di Gio party, and did actually confuse Acqua Di Gioia for a rebottled version of this, Gioia and Gio both carry the same "humid" aquatic vibe, if you've ever been caught in a rain storm during the height of summer, you'll know what I mean, its a totally different feeling compared to the usual aquatic, in the sea type fragrances. Structure of the composition pushes the limits from fresh citruses to a floral heart which encompasses aquatic jasmine, dewy peony and pink pepper, while a base closes with cedar, yellow sugar and labdanum.

This perfume contains various sensual aromas such as Amalfi lemon and mint, which will refresh you during the summer heat. This is over a mouthwateringly feminine heart of Aquatic Jasmine, dewy Peony and Pink Pepper for aromaticsm.This impacts the ability of the fragrance to last and around eighty percent of the oils in an EDT fragrance will evaporate within three hours of application. Its invigorating composition is a testament to the power of scent to evoke emotions and create lasting memories. Fortunately for me, the jasmine isn't the star of the show, in my view, it's blended to sweet perfection.

However I will say that I like this Gio for women more than the Gio for men, this women's version is a bit stronger and more layered compared to the men's version, I find the men's Gio to be very basic and weak. Usually these 2 floral scents can be hit and miss with me - sometimes I think they're smelly, but in this perfume, they are very pleasant and blended well with the other scent elements.The longevity is very poor, but that is what could make this the perfect perfume for a person who doesn't like heavy or overly girly scents. The opening is sharp but not screechy, and the drydown is appealingly soft and almost musky, but still retaining those aromatic and lemony notes. This would be perfect for hot summer days and/or in professional settings where you don't want to offend anyone with a strong scent but still wants to smell good. I can definitely detect the mint but I think that’s because I’m a bartender so I’m always garnishing my drinks with mint leaves.
