Although the introduction of the man whose proposal she eventually accepts is clunky, it becomes obvious early on whom she will accept. The pace worked with me at first because Duplicity was a mystery as was Harry Styles and it was angsty because you were waiting for Harry and Aven to get together, but he was also kind of sociopathic. This fic had an amazingly structured plot with just enough action, drama, and romance. The writing, chef’s kiss, for real.
