Mermaid Pink Gin at 38% ABV infuses the flavour and aromatics of island strawberries with the smooth yet complex taste of our award-winning Mermaid Gin, a blend of lemon zest, grains of paradise and fragrant rock samphire. To infuse the gin with its distinct character, Pocketful of Stones adds a secret blend of botanicals, including fragrant herbs, spices, and a touch of the mystical ink of the squid.

This unique addition is served from a copper flask engraved with the scenery, wildlife, folklore, and history that surrounds Pocketful of Stones. Vanilla was added to the base of the recipe to give a well rounded mouthfeel and perceived sweetness , coupled with sea buckthorn for a tart, fresh fruit finish. One day we blended some of the Honey from our beehives with one of our 2-year aged rums, the result was an instant classic and the easiest recipe development of all time. With a gentle oceanic aroma that evokes the fresh sea breeze, Dr Squid Gin entices your senses from the moment it touches your lips. Sorry to the people at the distillery for being so forthright but this is a real disappointment for us. Squid Gin comes to us from the Pocketful of Stones Distillery in Penzance, which was made using a recipe that features real, no-foolin' squid ink!
