This series has swept me away and I haven't been able to put it down, it has taken over my mind and now I'm at a loss with what to do. The growth in auren is so beautiful every time I see it makes me so happy especially with the ending of this ! I recommend it for people who like To Bleed a Crystal Bloom, The Four Horseman Series by Laura Thalassa and A Touch of Darkness. Auren humiliates Midas and doesn’t obey him so he gets angry and makes Ravinger’s Commander carry Auren to the harp to play all night. Unfortunately, with this new book come new characters, several of whom deserve an agonizing and slow end.

After living amongst the terrifying army of Fourth Kingdom, I find myself, once again, in strange lands and a kingdom surrounded by liars. Ultimately, "Goldfinch" was the only endearment needed - it was unique to her and was caring while also being empowering (speaking to independence outside of the cage she'd been trapped in).

The goods do not need to be in their original packaging however in a sellable condition, and at your own cost and risk. While the first part of this book will probably seems slow for some readers, there's a reason behind it. I wish they would have just stayed separate people - it makes for more depth for her to have faced multiple enemies in her life anyway.

He's not prepared to let go of this thing between them, but he can't force Auren to choose him, no matter how much he wants to. Midas is not prepared to lose his gold-touched and will do whatever it takes to keep her - lie, manipulate, coerce, force. And fine, let's say that's understandable because of her flaws that stem from her experiences - then Slade should have been the better person.

i thought that the H would be THE leading man saving her from all kinds of troubles, but i was wrong. She feels that she can’t trust anyone and that everyone is lying to her for their gain, whether it’s because they need her powers, or because they want to undermine Midas.

She went from this helpless, manipulated, abused girl to this empowered woman who put an end to her abuser in the most incredible, glorious way possible.
