The official vinyl LP versions have 9 songs (they include 'Legion Inoculant' and 'Mockingbeat', which are not included on the CD) and are roughly 84 and a half minutes long. Fifth studio album ' Fear Inoculum' is another set of baroque, stadium-sized prog-metal from The Thinking Man’s Primus. Of course, those charts don't necessarily mean as much in this age as they did when the preceding Tool LP dropped, but 270,000 album-equivalent units within the first week do not lie. This is all subjective, of course, and really not that important in the end, but still worth mentioning. Photos I have attached are the actual artwork of the album , the portrait one in the description is the only one that is the correct one in this release .It plays quiet, every instrument is represented well in the mix and the heavy sections rip on a good system. There is an EU release that credits Sony Music as a label and other differences of distribution listed on the small print of the sticker. It doesn't sound like the band challenged themselves or grew in any meaningful way over the last thirteen years. Opiate ² is a special limited-edition package, that includes a reimagined and extended version of the TOOL classic track.

Confused because I’d heard absolutely nothing about it and shocked that it was at such a steep discount. On headphones especially, it’s not too bassy and mids stand out, which is important to me because I listen to music pretty often on my headphones. But even still, after thirteen years of waiting for new material, Tool fans deserved a better thought out album. Full glossy cover with 7-sided geometric pattern on back, points of pattern ends in 14 solid circles.I kept waiting for it to break open because it felt like there was a buildup many times but it just never happened. Good to have them back though, especially when the band appear to have used their time away productively. The sound is so unbelievably rich and being a huge fan of Danny Carey, there are sounds from him I can hear on vinyl i could never hear on mp3 or cd. With the effort that the band puts into creating a soundscape, it's refreshing to see such responsibility taken for the follow-through.

Both CD and these cards have snug pockets to put them in near the inside of each cover of the hardcover book. Digital versions have 10 songs (they include 'Litanie Contre La Peur', 'Legion Inoculant' and 'Mockingbeat', which are not included on the CD) and are slightly under 87 minutes long. The discs are packaged in a hard shell box with new album art, and a bound casebook holding the vinyl along with new imagery not previously seen. As far as the actual album is concerned, the more I listen to it the more I'm coming to terms with how half-assed it sounds.This is truly deep and complex music which will keep giving and revealing more of itself to you the more you listen. As far as the music is concerned, Chris Bellman has done a stupendous job mastering and mixing this album. Due to inventory and accounting purposes, we do not exchange items received for different items than originally purchased. The presentation and packaging is also done well, it’s almost like an art book, a little over the top but that's Tool. This package features five 180 Gram BLACK vinyl discs, with album tracks featured on Side A, and unique etchings featured on Side B.
