About this deal
This is a preferred saw for contractors when compared to other leading brands at similar price points So in comes the Makita LS1019L sliding miter saw. The first thing you notice is the 2 rails lined up on the side of the blade. It’s different, a little strange looking, but also a really cool and practical design. This style that Makita has pioneered places the rails beside the saw, instead of extending out behind it. That means you can use it in more confined spaces and smaller wood shops. Indeed, it has the power to handle all the cutting jobs that a 12-inch miter saw can do. This is the reason that Makita LS1019L is the perfect equipment to be bought for all your wood cutting needs. Another good thing about this miter saw is that it comes with a direct drive motor having a soft start. It is unlike others that come with a belt drive.
Built-in laser clearly indicates line-of-cut whether blade is turning or not; on-off switch and micro-adjustments for precise "left-of-blade" or "right-of-blade" cutting As you can see with a dust collection system this is almost efficient enough to use in an operation room. Okay maybe that is a stretch, but the saw performs when it comes to collecting shavings when attached to a dust extraction system.
Makita LS1019 260mm 10" Double Bevel Slide Compound Mitre Saw
The blade guard is see-through which helps line up the cut faster. It’s got a large, over-sized trigger switch for added comfort and less hand-fatigue on large jobs. This saw is great for contractors because of it’s impressive cutting capacities, great power, and small footprint due to the unique rail system Makita uses. Front bevel knob enables easy adjustment without reaching for operator convenience and precise setting of bevel angle
I know some larger wood shops may not have this issue, but either way, dust collection is still important. And unless you’re willing to build a dust collection box around your miter saw, the dust system built-in to the Makita LS1019L is one of the best you can get. When I first saw the Makita LS1019L in Dallas on our Makita trip, I thought it was cool, but it didn’t make me turn my head. Not because of the saw or the technology, but because I am stubborn. At the time I was already sold on the Dewalt DWS780 as being the king of miter saws and for a shop saw, the Bosch CM12SD Glide Saw as it saves room on your work bench. I didn’t need to be sold on a new saw.
