The Tempo Flex WP is an easy boot to like. It offers a generous and comfortable fit. The Flex section does indeed make the footwear feel less stiff. I prefer a boot that easily flexes, so I usually choose one made from fabric rather than leather. The majority of KEEN women’s boots get our proprietary KEEN.DRY waterproof membrane, which allows vapor (i.e. sweat) to escape while keeping external moisture (like slush, rain, mud, snow) away from your toes. What if a hiking boot could move with you? Like really move with you. We took our proven hybrid hiker-trainer platform and added our new KEEN.BELLOWS FLEX technology for a men's waterproof, lightweight hiker that flexes where you do. The Bellows.Flex technology that features on the Ridge Flex and its sibling, the Tempo Flex, came as a result of Keen’s desire to make a boot that enables the user to use less energy when walking. Keen figured that quite a lot of energy is used when your heel lifts and the front of the boot flexes, and that over a period of a few hours this energy adds up considerably. Making the boot flex more easily at the forefoot would save a lot of this energy, but how to do it?

Secondly, this style of hiking boot is usually incredibly comfortable and lightweight. Excellent if you want to move fast on the trail but also a strong choice for those who may struggle with breaking in more traditional boots.
