About this deal

Using your leftover yarn, cut 92 strands of yarn approximately 18 inches long. Attach your yarn along the side of your blanket wrap (one strand per row) using a crochet hook. Row 1: Sc in same st and across those 10 overlapped sts. Sc around entire opening. Join to top of first sc with sl st. (26)

Hook and Needles Seen In This Video: Susan Bates 6.5mm Knitting Needles; Furls US-K, 6.5mm and US-N, 9.0mm Streamline Hooks; Clover USA 12.0mm hook Lay out scarf. On each end, fold to create sleeve and overlap by 10 stitches. Hold the place with stitch markers and count your stitches. You should have 32 sts total around the opening, 10 of which you will be working through both sides of the fabric. The width should be about 6.5” – 7” across at row one of the cuff. Insert your hook through both sides of the fabric where overlapped to start. (see photo)The patterns below come from popular designers who fell in love with this yarn. You'll find scarves, cowls, cardigans, wraps, hats, amigurumi animals, blankets, pillows, and a few more unique designs. Lay out the sleeve (one at a time) so that the fabric naturally gets wider, like a sleeve would. Measure up from the first row of the cuff until you reach 10″ high. You want the width at the “top” of the sleeve to be about 7” across. Use a stitch marker to mark the place where the pieces intersect and to keep two pieces from separating as you sew. Obviously I did the same with this design, because the name of the yarn is Hygge. However, I did some research on the meaning behind the word hygge and this Cozy Hygge Blanket Wrap fits the description perfection. Most people probably associate hygge with big and bulky crochet and that's definitely part of it but not all. Hygge yarn is worsted weight but many hygge-inspired patterns involve bulky yarn and large hooks ( or hands). If there’s one thing I love in the fall its chunky scarves. I love big, warm scarves because I love to feel all wrapped up and cozy. This new crochet pattern for a Scarf with Sleeves using Red Heart’s Hygge yarn is simply perfection.

Honestly, I am horrible at naming my patterns. I usually name them after the name of the stitch I used or the yarn… I know, how original! Attach yarn in the corner of the sleeve opening (where the underarm will be) and sc in each row end allll the way to the other end, then up the other side. Join to first sc and weave in all ends.

Hygge Yarn Crochet Hat Patterns

The hygge lifestyle has never been more desirable than it is now. If you are unfamiliar, "hygge" is a Danish word (pronounced hue-gah) that represents a lifestyle of cozy contentedness. It's all about enjoying the simple things in life. Who wouldn't want that?

Yes… frogged. It turned into this very giant ball, but I was more excited about my new idea so it didn’t crush me as much as you would think. Using your remaining yarn, sew from the cuff up those 10” on the sleeve. Flip the sleeve inside out and sew that inside flap closed as well. Weave in all ends. Do the same to the other side. Hygge Plus Size Pattern: Oh and by the way, on the yarn label it says hygge is pronounced ‘hoo-gah’. When I was doing further research, I saw it was actually pronounced ‘hue-guh’. So it’s very similar, but I’m going to let you decide how you want to say it. Lay out scarf. On each end, fold to create sleeve and overlap by 10 stitches. Hold the place with stitch markers and count your stitches. You should have 26 sts total around the opening, 10 of which you will be working through both sides of the fabric. The width should be about 5.5” – 6” across at row one of the cuff. Insert your hook through both sides of the fabric where overlapped to start. (see photo) Row 1: Ch-37, sc in 2nd ch from hook. * dc in next ch, sc in next ch * repeat across, dc in last ch. (36)

Hygge Crochet Blanket, Pillow, & Home Dec Patterns

The Cozy Hygge Blanket Wrap is a fast and easy crochet pattern that you are going to love making and love wearing even more! This isn’t your traditional triangle shawl, so you can also call it a blanket scarf. Either way you’re going to want to wrap yourself up in this cozy rectangular blanket shawl the moment you’re finished making it. This modern design only uses one simple stitch because we’re letting the yarn do all of the work for us (more on that later!). Let’s get to it, shall we? Row 13: Ch-2, turn, (dc, sc) in first * dc in next, sc in next * repeat across, (dc, sc) in last. (44) That is it! Isn’t this easier than it looks?! Now all we need to do is to practice wearing it! Ha! I hope you love this pattern! The Cozy Hygge Blanket Wrap is made entirely of half double crochet stitches. Not only do I pride myself in creating simple patterns that anyone can follow, but I also didn’t want to choose a stitch that was more complicated when the yarn (not the stitch) will be the main focus of the pattern. If you haven’t already noticed, this yarn of more of a novelty yarn than a typical strand. It’s fluffy, but easy to work with. So I wanted to make the design simple, but I also wanted to create some dimension to it.
