About this deal

Every task involving motorcycle maintenance requires appropriate tools. Warm and hot air dryers are ideal for doing a professional job of cleaning your motorcycle’s surface. Effective motorcycle air dryers allow you to select the right drying temperature for the various parts of your bike. Select from only the best motorcycle air dryer options available.

It comes with a couple of soft nozzles – so you don’t damage the bike if you happen to catch it with the nozzle – with one offering a wider spread and the other, a more narrow but concentrated blast of air. It was this one that I used to chase the water away from several test bikes.

No real direction to the air, just seems to blow water from one place to another. Handy to get water out of the crevices unreachable by hand and switchgears etc. I do wish the hose were a bit longer, but its 10 feet are still enough to work your way around a motorcycle. Plus, it comes with wheels, so you can move it around to various necessary angles. However, drying a flat-ish surface isn’t that difficult with a microfibre cloth. Where this really excels is getting rid of water from areas where you would not be able to get to using a cloth. For example, the cooling fins of an air-cooled motor or the inner areas of the engine and transmission. The dryer blower that you deem best for you motorcycle should ideally be lightweight and portable. Furthermore, you may wish to avoid loud blowers that make using them uncomfortable. Very handy for winter when it comes to cleaning the bike after a salty ride or for cleaning parts off the bike.

Portable motorcycle dryers are handheld tools. When not in use, they hang on a tool wall taking up little room. Motorcycle riders frequently go out on longer runs. For them, the fact that a portable motorcycle dryer can be transported easily in the motorcycle’s storage space for use anywhere is definitely a huge bonus. Simply plug this in, put the switch to on and blast the water droplets away. No warm air setting on this model, and only one turbine (that's plenty powerful enough). I also found the B3-CD generally sturdier than other models, thanks to its all-steel construction. It will likely last longer, especially if you use it frequently. The power is a bit lower with a max air volume of 100 cfm and wind speed of around 67 fps, and the retractable hose only reaches about eight feet. However, while that might be a problem for large cars, drying a motorcycle should be less of an issue. Despite a price point not much higher than considerably weaker models, it pumps out air at nearly 500 fps. That means even fewer streaks and spots and a short drying period of just 5-7 minutes for a motorcycle.Metro Vacuum has so many different models of air dryers it was hard to narrow it down. However, I love the B3-CD; it’s my favorite overall because of its high power and motorcycle-specific design. Maybe you have a big Harley Davidson Road King, a family of dirt bikes in the garage, or a pristine 1966 BSA alongside your car collection; in any of those scenarios, the MD2800 Pro might be the dryer for you. Comes with three attachments, but they are hard to attach and poorly designed. I'd attach one and leave it on to save time (doesn't come loose, just a pain to get on). Currently the base model (one with a warm air setting above this, and then one with a dual turbine as their top model) in the range this performs well. No bells and whistles for a decent price. Some would say an overpriced dog drier, but the output speed/force of the air is impressive. In some ways, a motorcycle dryer is something you never knew you needed until you take the plunge and buy one.

The total power of the motor is 2100W when used with the heat function, which is made up of 1600W Turbine power and an extra 500W for heat function. Other great features include the five nozzles that allow you to get a deeper dry down into all the parts of your bike and the filter that keeps the powerful motor from blowing dust and grime onto your paint job.In addition to the higher air speed of over 100 fps, the filtered design sets this dryer apart. Since the filter clears any dust particles out of the air, it’s safer for your paint job and less likely to cause scratches. If you have a custom paint job or just really care about your bike’s shiny finish, you need a dryer like this.

Here's how it works

The additional heat setting on the MD1900+ makes it a very practical dryer. The extra heat will help evaporate water that has settled in the deepest recesses in those hard-to-reach places. Perhaps the most important part of detailing is a thorough drying not just of the motorcycle’s surface but also of the nooks and crevasses. A new competitor that has entered the auto & motorcycle blower industry is the BLO Dryer brand. Currently they are producing two models which are the AIR-GT and AIR-RS. The GT model has the best power output, with its dual motors that produce a powerful 8 BHP.
