About this deal

The card attributes that surround "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" (Level 8, LIGHT, Dragon, Normal Monster) gives it a large amount of external support. Examples include " Trade-In", " The Melody of Awakening Dragon", " Dragon Shrine", " Dragon Ravine", " Silver's Cry", and " Return of the Dragon Lords". Though the archetype has no archetypal Xyz boss monsters, the archetype's ability to swarm Level 8 monsters enables easy Xyz Summons of powerful Rank 8 monsters, such as " Number 38: Hope Harbinger Dragon Titanic Galaxy". D.'s 2nd effect lets you discard a card that lists Blue-Eyes White Dragon in its text to special summon a Blue-Eyes monster from your GY. This effect is great for reviving any of your Blue-Eyes monsters including Fusions and Synchros if applicable. You can also use this effect to discard and revive Jet and Abyss Dragon since D.'s 1st effect will provide a Blue-Eyes in the GY. Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon is not a card in the original series. Seto Kaiba flies a jet with a similar design. It has a model with the design of a Blue-Eyes White Dragon. First Effect:

Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon" is a Ritual Monster that cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects and can wipe out your opponent in a single display of doubled-piercing chaotic white lightning.

Contents

Jet's 2nd effect is a continuous effect which protects your other cards from destruction by your opponent's card effects. This is great against cards with mass destruction like Lightning Storm, Twin Twisters, and Raigeki. Just note that this doesn't protect your cards from your own effects.

Apparition with Eyes of Blue is our final new card and it's a continuous spell. It has 2 effects which helps summon Blue-Eyes from your hand and maybe another monster along with it.The jet made its first appearance by the end of the Battle City arc. After Marik's defeat by Yugi, Kaiba set up Alcatraz Island to self-destruct after the tournament. Kaiba and Mokuba used the Jet as their getaway transport, while Yugi and the others left the island by helicopter. When it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh, few cards are more iconic than the Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Released in the early 2000s, Blue-Eyes White Dragon and its archetype are among the most beloved cards in the game. It's also one of the most supported archetypes over the years.

The jet was also shown in Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light when Kaiba had to go meet Maximillion Pegasus on his own private island in seeking a way to finally defeat Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi. A cheap way to protect your Dragons from targeted card effects would be to bring out Lord of D. This lets you access support like The Flute of Awakening Dragon that can Special Summon up to 2 Dragon-type monsters from your hand, and King Dragun which can provide protection and Special Summon abilities in one card. Most "Blue-Eyes" monsters closely resemble the original " Blue-Eyes White Dragon", as all monsters in this archetype are either retrained counterparts, downgraded, or upgraded forms of "Blue-Eyes White Dragon". The With Eyes of Blue monsters are based on the four people who carried the spirit of " Blue-Eyes White Dragon" in the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime, included Kisara.Apparition is a decent card but might be misplaced in Blue-Eyes. While it does help you establish presence, that wasn't really a problem to begin with. Though you can use it to cycle your normal summons, its uses outside of that are questionable or maybe just undiscovered. Who knows, maybe this card can enable some Dragon Link Blue-Eyes combos. Overall Thoughts Konami loves creating new cards with good effects for Blue-Eyes. Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon has a large library of support. This effect monster is a perfect fit in the archetype and its current support.
