Hide and Seek by Andrea Mara | Waterstones Hide and Seek by Andrea Mara | Waterstones

The writing was a little wonky for me from the very start, but I was intrigued to see where it was going regardless.Foster is returning to work after the tragic death of her partner, Detective Glynnis Thompson. Foster has ratcheted up some earth-shaking life experiences herself. She'll never recover from the needless death of her son, Regie. But duty dictates and personal wounds are left to fester beneath the surface. I was really looking forward to this book coming out, but it ended up being a big letdown. I first read the blurb and was hoping for something like Fantasticland. Instead, I got something more like Clown in a Cornfield, that took itself too seriously and got rid of the fun .

The atmosphere in the abandoned theme park was creepy as hell, and I thought the slow reveal of the baddie was well done for ultimate tension. Digitally browsethrough the endless range of bottles from Hedonism Wineswhich are available for delivery to your table within 15 minutes. There you will find a selection of highly regarded wineries producing some of the world's most iconic wines, as well as some hidden and as yetundiscovered garage properties, from the most recent to the oldest of vintages.Hide was tons of fun. I just read another book that centered around a groups of kids dying in an amusement park and it was a big let down. So, I was 100% into the twist of this book. This was once again an amazing story! I felt like it followed the novel fairly well. Having read it last year I can’t recall all the finer details but the story at large stays the same and even knowing what happens I still found myself taken by surprise on occasion. Meet Tracy Clark's new Detective Harriet "Harri" Foster! Hide takes place in Chicago and is a mystery/crime genre book, which is my favorite! It's told from the criminal's POV, as well as the investigator's POV. Seven days. That is not a long time. You must be better than the others at hiding and maybe, just maybe, you could be the winner! Since I don't write spoilers, I'll keep this review short. Tracy Clark is a new author for me and now on my A list. I look forward to reading the next book in this series, it's that good!

This book will live in your head rent-free. When I wasn’t reading Hide, I was thinking about it—it’s one of those rare books that twists itself into your consciousness. Kiersten White has outdone herself.” —Victoria Lee, author of A Lesson in Vengeance Content warnings for: PTSD, trauma, violence, gore, murder, abusive parents, alcoholism, racism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, betrayal I really enjoyed this story. There were definitely a lot of twists that I wasn't expecting! And even the ones that I was expecting were so well done that it didn't feel predictable.

The not knowing was sort of like when you first started watching Lost and you knew something was in the jungle, but you could never tell what it is. I liked that, but eventually as you discover the truth behind the park, it could have gone deeper into those elements.
